Preschool

Well, Carys had definite opinions about her first day of preschool. She was very up and down. When she met her teacher she responded, "This is not my class." Then she was super warm to her friend Lindsey as she met her with a pouty lip and a stink eye. Nothing makes a mom prouder! This first day is a short day and the parents stay the entire time for an orientation and such. She loved playing and doing the crafts in the classroom. On the way out she ended up in time out for being rude to me for the umpteenth time that day. I decided that she just didn't like all the changes...new classroom, new teacher, new kids (although she knew a lot of the girls and her best gal pal, Emma was there too). Among the bigger changes is that her best buddy, Luke, is gone all day, and basically life is not summer anymore. We talked a lot throughout the rest of the day about changes, attitude, and friendship. By Wednesday she was ready and thrilled to rock preschool...which she did, I might add. First day jitters are over and second day bliss stepped in! Here are some good pictures of our little sweetie before she pouted.

She looks all ready for preschool, BUT...

she turned into Monster-Carys the preschooler!

She looks so sweet and grown up here, I love this picture.

He sat like such an angel much of the time, then he had to get out and play with the big kids!
