Love in the Giraffe class...

Well, it happened. Luke got his first love letter from this darling girl in his Giraffe class at preschool. It was put in his book bag and he didn't even know it was there until I cleaned out his bag before school. When I showed it to him he gasped a large breath, and grinned from ear to ear. He tells me she wants to marry him and he thinks that is ok because she is so much fun and she is soooo cool and cute. He keeps begging me to invite her to have a sleep-over...Uh...how about an afternoon playdate?! I took pictures of the note because it is really cute, with eyelashes drawn on her, them holding hands, and a heart in the place of the "O" in "love." He wants to write one back...what to do, what to do?

I think this whole thing is adorable though. Perhaps that is because I, myself, wrote my very first love note to a boy in the second grade. Sadly, he was not as enamored with me and shared my note with all the kids in the third grade and I was mortified. My mom had to give me quite a pep talk to go back to school. Maybe the romantic side runs in his blood...

80's rock band member

Yes, she did dress herself.
Yes, she is wearing a duckie costume.
Yes, she has the remains of her pb&j on her face.
Yes, I did let her look this messy for most of the day... :(
And Yes, she does look like an 80's rock band member! ( can anyone say Axel Rose)

Captain's alter ego!

Meet The Shaggy Dog...he looks huge! This is the manly dog!

This is my preferred look...Shaggy and long, although I do like it cleaner than in these photos.

Now, meet his alter ego, Fi Fi, a much smaller and tamer puppy! Not looking so manly anymore!

Although this haircut was done in phases. I refused to take pictures since it may have bordered on abuse...his legs were shaved short and his body was long like a sheep...pretty scary!!!! Rob really wanted to do spiral shave patterns...men!

We love our Captain! He is full of energy most of the time and he definitely keeps us on his toes. But how many dogs will let you pick them up like this?

Aunt Sarah came to visit before Christmas and we had such a fun time with her. Our dog loved the extra attention and so did the kids! IF you can't tell she is a dog lover...she has two babies of her own, Wes and Sophie!
